House Fire Smoke Odor
Have you ever entered a building that had an electrical or small appliance fire? Have you experienced the stench following a room fire . . . after it has been completely extinguished?
Then you understand the effects on the air . . . and those who breathe it!
The FreshStart process eliminates not only the odor, but actually breaks down the complex carbon chain residuals that are harmful to your health. When the building is released for occupancy following a FreshStart treatment, the hydroxyl radicals will have broken down these toxic odors and left the treated area smelling fresh and clean.
Example 1.) Following a fire in a University dorm room that was started by an unattended candle igniting the curtains; the dorm room was returned to the occupants with their non-fire-damaged possessions and the room odor free . . . the following morning.
Example 2.) When a large restaurant in the trendy Belmont Shores area of Long Beach, CA burned to the ground, the businesses on either side received smoke damage from the air traveling through a common attic ventilation system. The Shoe Store on one side chose the FreshStart by Prompt Care® process to solve their problem . . . the Coffee Shop owners on the other side of the restaurant chose the traditional chlorine wipe down method to solve their smoke damage problem.
The next morning the Shoe Store was open for business with only minimal disruption and minor loss of inventory. Four days later the Coffee Shop was still not open for business, although several workers had been working overtime each day in their attempt to reach every little nook and cranny where the foul smelling smoke had penetrated.
Since the FreshStart process penetrated exactly where the smoke from the fire traveled, the entire process took less than ten hours. As the owner of the Show Store also pointed out, the chlorine wipe would have destroyed all the boxes containing the shoes and probably most of the shoes.
The key to the success in this example was the owner’s immediate call to Prompt Care. Since nothing in the store had been moved . . . the treatment could reach exactly where the smoke had traveled. Had the contents been moved, it is possible that the process would not have saved as many boxes/shoes. The reason he called so quickly . . . Prompt Care had treated his home for allergens, and he was already a satisfied customer.
